How Pure Horizon Produces Ultra-Pure Reverse Osmosis Water — and Why It Matters for Reach & Wash Window Cleaning
At Pure Horizon, we don’t just use purified water — we manufacture it in-house to laboratory-grade clarity. This ensures the best possible finish on glass, cladding and frames, without the need for detergents or hand-wiping.
How Reverse Osmosis Water Is Made (Our Process Step by Step)
- Water Softener
Hard minerals such as calcium and magnesium are removed. This prevents scale from damaging filters and ensures efficient downstream purification. - Carbon & Sediment Filtration
Sediment, sand, rust and chlorine are stripped out. This protects the RO membrane from physical blockage and chemical attack. - Reverse Osmosis (RO) Membrane
Under pressure, water is pushed through a semi-permeable membrane.
RO rejects 99%+ of dissolved solids, metals, nitrates and salts. - DI (De-Ionisation) Resin
Any microscopic traces left after RO are polished out to produce 0–1ppm water — meaning essentially nothing is left to leave marks as the water dries. - UV Sterilisation
A UV chamber disinfects the water to control microbial growth, keeping the system hygienic and the water biologically safe.
Why Pure Water Works for Reach & Wash Cleaning
Purified water behaves differently to tap water :
- No minerals — no spots
Ordinary tap water leaves minerals behind when it dries. Pure water dries crystal-clear because there is nothing in it to deposit on the glass. - Naturally grabs dirt
Pure water is “hungry” water — with no dissolved solids, it actively absorbs contamination from the surface as it rinses. - Chem-free & safe
No detergents are required. Safe around landscaping, pets, façades and sensitive materials. - Better for frames and sills
Because the water is pure, full rinsing is possible without the need to squeegee. Frames are cleaned, not just the glass face.
The Result
By combining softening → filtration → RO → DI → UV under boosted pressure, we create high-purity water that enables safer work from the ground, zero chemical residue, and a streak-free finish — every time.
