Professional Patio & Driveway Cleaning in Suffolk
Based in Stowmarket, Pure Horizon provides professional patio and driveway cleaning across Suffolk for homes, rental properties and commercial premises. We clean suitable block paving, concrete, natural stone, porcelain paving and other hard surfaces using a method matched to the material and its condition.
Services can include controlled pressure washing or specialist cleaning, post-clean treatment where suitable, block-paving re-sanding, patio repointing and compatible sealing. Every item is assessed and quoted clearly; we do not assume every surface needs or can safely accept every treatment.
Professional Patio & Driveway Cleaning, Properly Finished
Patios, driveways, paths and other hard surfaces gradually collect dirt, algae, moss, lichen, weeds and traffic film. Professional cleaning can restore a much cleaner appearance, but the correct method depends on the paving material, jointing, condition, drainage and any previous coating.
We inspect these factors before recommending the work. Pressure, equipment and cleaning products are selected for the surface, and any post-clean treatment, re-sanding, repointing or sealing is identified separately. Deep oil, rust, paint, efflorescence and ingrained staining may require specialist treatment and complete removal cannot always be guaranteed.

Clear Quotes & Evidence
We confirm the surfaces and work included, itemise optional finishing services and can supply before-and-after photographs of the completed clean.
Surface-Specific Cleaning and Restoration
Every job begins with an assessment of the surface material, jointing, loose or damaged areas, staining, drainage, access and nearby doors, walls, plants and vehicles. We then choose a suitable cleaning method, working pressure and equipment. Not every surface is suitable for high-pressure cleaning, and resin-bound surfaces, tarmac, damaged paving or previously sealed areas may need a modified approach or may be excluded.
Post-clean treatment, re-sanding, repointing and sealing are separate finishing services and are only carried out where suitable and included in the quotation. Moving heavy items, repairing failed paving and treating oil, rust, paint or other specialist stains are not included unless stated.
Surface & Condition Assessment
We identify the paving type, condition, jointing, drainage and sensitive surrounding areas before selecting the safest practical cleaning plan.
Controlled Professional Cleaning
Where suitable, commercial pressure-washing equipment and controlled techniques are used to remove dirt, moss, algae, weeds and loose surface deposits while limiting avoidable damage and mess.
Post-Clean Treatment
Where agreed and suitable, an appropriately selected sodium-hypochlorite or biocidal treatment may be applied to target remaining organic growth. Products are used at the correct dilution and in accordance with their labels and site-safety requirements.
Jointing, Finishing & Evidence
After suitable drying, quoted finishing work can include block-paving re-sanding, local patio repointing or compatible sealing. We complete a final check and can provide before-and-after photographs.
Professional Patio & Driveway Cleaning Made Simple
From the initial enquiry to the final check, we explain the cleaning method, what is included and whether any finishing work should be completed after the surface dries. Every quotation is based on the actual surface, access, condition and treatment requirements.

Patio & Driveway Cleaning FAQs
Answers to common questions about professional patio and driveway cleaning, pressure washing, post-clean treatment, block-paving re-sanding, patio repointing, sealing, prices and Suffolk coverage.
Your quotation identifies the agreed surfaces, cleaning method and preparation included. A standard clean normally covers suitable pressure or specialist cleaning and removal of loose debris from the working area. Post-clean treatment, re-sanding, repointing, sealing, stain treatments and repairs are only included when specifically itemised.
We assess block paving, concrete, natural stone, porcelain paving, slabs and other hard surfaces. Tarmac, resin-bound surfacing, damaged paving and previously sealed areas need particular care and may require a modified method or may not be suitable. We confirm this before quoting.
No. The method and pressure are matched to the surface and its condition. Controlled pressure washing may be suitable for robust paving, while more sensitive materials may require lower pressure, different equipment or an appropriate cleaning treatment. We avoid using excessive pressure simply to produce a faster result.
Where suitable and agreed, an appropriately selected sodium-hypochlorite or biocidal treatment may be used to target algae, moss, lichen or other organic growth. The product, dilution and method depend on the surface, contamination and surroundings, and all label and site-safety requirements must be followed.
No. Post-clean treatment is recommended only when the surface and remaining biological growth make it appropriate. Where proposed, it is clearly shown in the quotation rather than being assumed as part of every clean.
Yes, where it is needed and included in the quotation. Pressure washing can remove jointing sand, so suitable block paving can be re-sanded after it has dried sufficiently. Standard kiln-dried sand is not suitable for every paving system; permeable paving may require a specific jointing material.
Local repointing can be quoted where existing joints are loose, cracked or missing and the paving is otherwise suitable. Cleaning may reveal defects that were hidden by dirt or moss. Movement, loose slabs, failed bedding or extensive structural repairs may need a paving specialist and are not automatically included.
Compatible sealing can be quoted for suitable surfaces. The paving must be properly cleaned and sufficiently dry, and the weather and product requirements must be suitable. Not every material needs sealing, and we will not recommend a sealer that is incompatible with the paving or an unknown existing coating.
Many marks and organic deposits can be improved, but different stains require different treatments and complete removal cannot always be guaranteed. Oil, rust, paint, cement, efflorescence, deep black spot and long-established lichen are assessed separately before any specialist treatment is proposed.
Cleaning can remove visible weeds and loose growth from the surface and joints, but it cannot prevent future airborne seeds or growth beneath defective paving. Appropriate post-treatment, sound jointing and regular maintenance can help reduce regrowth without guaranteeing that weeds will never return.
The surface must reach the condition required for the chosen material or product. Kiln-dried sand and many sealers require thoroughly dry paving, while pointing and curing times vary. Weather may therefore mean that finishing work is completed during a separate visit.
Prices depend on the surface area, material, condition, access, drainage, contamination and the finishing work requested. Send clear photographs, approximate measurements and your postcode for an initial assessment. We provide a clear quotation before work begins.
Yes. We clean suitable hard surfaces for businesses, landlords and other organisations as well as domestic properties. Commercial work is planned around access, pedestrian management, drainage, operating hours and any treatment or curing restrictions.
Yes. Based in Stowmarket, Pure Horizon covers Stowmarket, Elmswell, Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Woodbridge and many surrounding Suffolk towns and villages. Send us your postcode and we will confirm availability.
The time required depends on the size, material, condition, access and work included. Cleaning may be completed in one visit, while re-sanding, repointing or sealing can require additional drying time and a separate dry-weather visit. We confirm the anticipated schedule when quoting.
Please move vehicles and portable items such as pots or furniture away from the quoted area where practical, and tell us about known coatings, drainage restrictions, loose paving or damaged joints. We confirm any property-specific preparation and access requirements before the visit.
