Professional Cladding & Weatherboard Cleaning in Suffolk
Based in Stowmarket, Pure Horizon provides professional cladding cleaning in Suffolk for homes, rental properties, commercial buildings and managed sites. We clean suitable uPVC, metal, composite, fibre-cement, painted and timber-effect weatherboards and cladding systems using methods selected for the material and finish.
After assessing the surface, fixings, seals, access and contamination, we may use purified water and gentle brushing, a compatible detergent or controlled low-pressure softwashing for organic growth. Products, agitation and rinsing are chosen for each façade—not every treatment is suitable for every cladding system.
Specialist Cladding Cleaning, Matched to the Surface
Exterior cladding and weatherboards collect traffic film, dust, cobwebs, bird mess, algae, mould and other organic growth. The correct cleaning method depends on the material, coating, age, orientation, fixings, joints and previous maintenance. We inspect accessible surfaces, vents, seals, damaged panels, loose trims, oxidation, chalking and staining before recommending treatment.
Excessive pressure can force water behind panels, damage seals or strip weakened coatings, so controlled cleaning is central to our approach. Permanent fading, corrosion, failed paint, deep oxidation and mineral staining may require repair or specialist restoration rather than cleaning alone, which we explain before you book.

Surface-Specific Treatments
Cleaning products, brush types, contact times, agitation and rinsing are selected for the cladding material, coating, condition and contamination. Not every process is suitable for every façade.
Clear Quotes & Evidence
Your quotation identifies the elevations, cleaning method and access included, along with realistic limitations. We can also provide before-and-after photographs for your records.
How We Clean Cladding & Weatherboards Safely
Every clean begins with an assessment of the cladding material, finish, condition, staining, access and surrounding areas. Routine soiling may be cleaned with purified water, gentle brushes and a compatible detergent. Organic growth may require a controlled low-pressure softwash or professional biocide where suitable.
We avoid a one-method-fits-all approach: pressure, product strength, dwell time, agitation and rinsing are matched to the surface, and test cleaning is used where appropriate. High-pressure washing is not automatically suitable because it can damage coatings, seals, joints and vulnerable boards or drive water behind the façade.
Survey & Material Check
We identify the cladding or weatherboard type, inspect accessible joints, vents, seals, trims, fixings and coatings, and note visible damage, oxidation or loose panels before work begins.
Protect Openings & Surroundings
Windows and doors are closed, vents and sensitive surfaces are considered, and nearby plants, signage, electrical fittings and access areas are protected or managed as required.
Apply the Matched Cleaning Method
We use the agreed combination of purified water, gentle brushing, compatible detergent or low-pressure softwashing, with controlled contact time and agitation suited to the surface.
Rinse, Detail & Final Check
Where required, the façade is rinsed at low pressure, edges and trims are detailed, and the completed elevations are checked. We tidy the work area and can provide completion photographs.
Professional Cladding Cleaning Made Simple
From your first enquiry to the final check, we explain the recommended method, what is included and any realistic limitations. Your quotation reflects the elevation area, cladding type, contamination, access and property-protection requirements.
Send Photos & Details
Contact us online, by telephone, email or WhatsApp. Send your postcode and clear photographs of each elevation, the surrounding access and any areas of particular concern.
Surface Assessment & Quote
We assess the cladding type, coating, condition, staining, access and nearby sensitive areas. Where photographs are not enough, we arrange a site visit before issuing a clear, no-obligation quotation.
Plan Access & Protection
Before cleaning, we confirm access and water requirements, ask for windows and doors to be closed and plan protection for vents, glazing, metals, plants, signage and electrical fittings.
Complete the Agreed Clean
We clean the specified elevations using the agreed surface-appropriate method, controlled products and suitable brush, agitation and rinsing techniques.
Final Check & Evidence
We inspect the completed work, tidy the area and report visible defects noticed during cleaning. Before-and-after photographs can be supplied, but the service is not a structural or watertightness survey.
Cladding & Weatherboard Cleaning FAQs
Answers to common questions about cladding and weatherboard cleaning, suitable materials, softwashing, access, prices, maintenance and Suffolk coverage.
The quoted service normally covers the agreed elevations, a pre-clean visual assessment, surface-appropriate cleaning, management of accessible surrounding areas and a final check. Your quotation states the cladding, access, treatment and any optional work included.
Subject to condition and test cleaning where appropriate, we can assess uPVC, coated metal, composite, fibre-cement, painted systems and suitable timber or timber-effect weatherboards. Manufacturer guidance, coatings, age and visible defects can affect the method or whether cleaning is advisable.
Cladding is the broad term for an external façade covering. Weatherboards are overlapping or profiled boards used as a type of cladding. Both may be made from uPVC, fibre cement, composite, metal or timber, so the material and coating matter more than the label alone.
Cleaning can improve general dirt, traffic film, cobwebs, bird mess and suitable algae, mould and organic growth. Results depend on the surface and contamination. Fading, corrosion, failed paint, deep oxidation, rust and some mineral staining may not be removable by normal cleaning.
Not by default. Excessive pressure can damage coatings, seals, joints and vulnerable boards or force water behind the façade. Where rinsing or mechanical cleaning is suitable, pressure is kept controlled and matched to the material and condition.
Softwashing uses a low-pressure application of a surface-compatible cleaning solution to treat organic contamination. It may be suitable for algae, mould and other biological growth, but the product, concentration, contact time and rinsing requirements are selected for the specific cladding system.
Yes, suitable uPVC cladding and trims can often be cleaned using purified water, gentle brushing and compatible cleaning products. We check for brittle sections, failed seals, damaged trims, oxidation and permanent discolouration before recommending the method.
We can assess coated and profiled metal cladding for suitable cleaning. The coating condition, oxidation, corrosion, fixings, joints and runoff are important. Damaged coatings or active corrosion may need repair or specialist restoration rather than cleaning alone.
Many composite and fibre-cement systems can be cleaned carefully, subject to manufacturer guidance, condition and test cleaning. We avoid unnecessarily aggressive pressure or abrasion that could alter the finish or drive water into joints.
Suitable painted timber can be assessed, but loose paint, decay, open joints and weakened coatings may limit cleaning. We use a cautious method and will explain where repainting, repair or specialist restoration is more appropriate.
Yes, subject to access, site conditions and scope. We can assess homes, rental properties, commercial buildings and managed sites. PASMA and IPAF training supports professionally planned tower or powered-access work where appropriate.
We review openings, vents, seals, signage, electrical fittings, glazing, plants and pedestrian or vehicle access before work. Protection and runoff controls are selected for the building and agreed method. Windows and doors should remain closed during cleaning.
Not always. Cleaning removes suitable surface contamination but cannot reverse colour loss, failed coatings, corrosion or material deterioration. Rust, oxidation, efflorescence and mineral deposits may need a separate specialist process, repair or replacement.
Prices depend on the elevation area, material, contamination, building height, access, protection requirements and cleaning method. Send your postcode and clear photographs for an initial assessment. We provide a clear, no-obligation quotation before work begins.
Smaller accessible elevations may be completed within a day, while larger buildings, heavier contamination or specialist access can take longer. Weather, site controls and the selected treatment also affect timing. We explain the expected programme with your quotation.
There is no fixed schedule. Material, orientation, shade, nearby trees, traffic, coastal exposure, local environment and customer preference all affect soiling and regrowth. We recommend an appropriate maintenance interval after assessing the property.
