GoCardless Direct Debit payments
Pure Horizon customers can choose a straightforward way to pay automatically after an agreed service, without arranging cash or making a separate bank transfer.
GoCardless Direct Debit payments are available to Pure Horizon customers who would prefer their payment to be collected automatically after an agreed clean. Once the Direct Debit is set up, there is no need to arrange cash or remember to make a separate transfer after every visit.
This is an optional payment method designed to make regular and one-off exterior-cleaning payments easier to manage. It does not change the service you have arranged with Pure Horizon; it simply provides another way to settle the amount due.
How GoCardless Direct Debit Payments Work
Pure Horizon sends you a secure GoCardless setup link. You follow the link and complete the Direct Debit instruction using the GoCardless payment page. This is normally a one-time setup, so future agreed payments can be collected without asking you to repeat the process after each service.
The setup process
- Pure Horizon sends you a secure GoCardless payment link.
- You complete the Direct Debit instruction on the GoCardless setup page.
- You receive confirmation that the instruction has been created.
- Advance notice is provided before a payment is collected.
Direct Debit collections take several working days to process, so they are not the same as an instant card payment. Customers receive advance notice of the amount and collection date, giving them an opportunity to check the details before the payment is taken.
Why We Added GoCardless
Exterior cleaning is often arranged around a busy household or working day. A customer may not be at the property when a regular window clean or another agreed service is completed. Automatic collection removes the need to leave cash, respond immediately to a payment reminder or remember a bank transfer later.
GoCardless also provides a clear payment record. The advance notification identifies the collection before it is made, while the completed payment appears through the customer’s normal bank account. Customers should continue to check their notifications and bank statements in the usual way.
The cleaning service stays the same; GoCardless simply makes the payment step easier to manage.
When This Payment Option Can Help
GoCardless can be particularly useful for regular customers who do not want to make a manual payment after every visit. It can also help when nobody needs to be at the property while exterior cleaning is carried out, because the payment step does not depend on an in-person handover.
Customers remain in control of their Direct Debit and receive the required payment information in advance. If a forthcoming collection does not match what you were expecting, contact Pure Horizon promptly so that the details can be checked before the collection date.
Protection Under the Direct Debit Guarantee
Payments collected by Direct Debit are covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee. If an error is made in the payment of a Direct Debit, the payer is entitled to a full and immediate refund from their bank or building society. A Direct Debit can also be cancelled through the bank or building society, although customers should notify Pure Horizon as well.
The Guarantee protects the payment process; it does not remove any amount that remains properly due for an agreed service. Full official wording is available from the Direct Debit Guarantee website.
